How do I do a complete clean up of Software-Based licensing?

Modified on Wed, 6 Feb, 2019 at 9:43 AM

A full clean up should only be necessary if you are converting between Node-Locked and LAN-Floating configurations, or if the original installation was not conducted properly. In these cases, follow these steps to un-install the licesning and ot manually remove remaining files. You will un-install the licensing from Programs and Features (Control Panel). The term PRODUCT used below means the name of your licensed HydrComp software.

Node-Locked licenses

  1. Un-install "HydroComp PRODUCT Software-Based Security"
  2. If remaining, delete the "PRODUCT.dll.cm.ini" file from the PRODUCT program files directory (most likely in "C:\Program Files (x86)\HydroComp\PRODUCT")
  3. Delete the "BAT" folder In the Windows program data folder (most likely as "C:\ProgramData\BAT")

LAN-Floating licenses (Server)

  1. Server computer: Un-install "HydroComp Software-Based Security Server"
  2. Delete the "BAT" folder In the Windows program data folder (most likely as "C:\ProgramData\BAT")

LAN-Floating licenses (Client)

  1. Un-install "HydroComp PRODUCT files for Software-Based Security Server"
